FERPA POLICY
The purpose of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is to afford certain rights to students concerning their educational records. The primary rights afforded are the right to inspect and review the educational records, the right to seek to have the records amended and the right to have some control over the disclosure of information from the records.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø is committed to protecting student health and safety while respecting student privacy. In accordance with FERPA and New York State Education Law §6438-d (Beau’s Law), 51³Ô¹ÏÍø maintains the following policy regarding when a parent, guardian, or designated emergency contact may be notified if a student under the age of 21 is involved in certain alcohol- or controlled substance-related incidents.
